  •  Hi Michelle,
Thanks for the book and film recommendations! The woman I heard give a talk a few years ago @ UCLA is Pun Ngai. The talk called "Engendering a New Working Class: Social Trauma and Labor Resistance in China" and her book is "Made in China: Women Factory Workers in a Global Workplace" (Paperback).
The film I mentioned is (in English) "Riding Alone for Thousands of Miles" by director Yimou Zhang (who also did "Raise the Red Lantern", "Red Sorghum" and "To Live").

  •  Welcome on board the foodie train Michelle! I'm glad you can join us. I added all the restaurants you listed to my list of places to contact. We've got some fun dining destinations in the works, including a Thai restaurant in LA, Sushi place in Bev Hills, and Shabu Shabu place in Pasadena next week! You can find out where we'll stop next by checking your itinerary (http://bit.ly/QixoK), and RSVP early so that you can greet, meet, and grab a seat before you eat, or Tweet! (http://bit.ly/2cAVI6

  •  Here's the info: Tio's Tacos, 3948 Mission Inn Ave, Riverside. Great place and folk "art", more like the crap in the garage was emptied in the backyard, but interesting none-the-less, and disturbing, a little..
It was good to talk with you, you did make some good points about the MU dynamics, I agree. Got your email about the appt. and will look into it. Gracias Chica, until next time take care.
